On Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:30 a.m., the Phoenix Fire Department responded to the Renaissance Apartment Homes located at 13421 North 43rd Avenue in Phoenix for an apartment fire. The fire was limited to a single apartment. As the firefighters suppressed the fire they found Michael Bourassa who was the victim of an apparent homicide inside the apartment.
