Crime Information:
On Monday, March 27, 2023 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Melanie was driving east on W. Indian School road between N. 59th Avenue and N. 51st avenue. She heard a gunshot and then heard what sounded like a rock hitting the back of her vehicle. She reached back and saw that she was bleeding from her back. She pulled into the QuikTrip at 4275 W. Indian School Road and called 911. She was transported to St Joes hospital, where she underwent surgery. Doctors removed a portion of her colon. She was unable to provide any vehicle or suspect description. Investigators are seeking any information regarding this incident.
