Crime Information:
On January 19, 2005 at approximately 9:25 p.m., Karen Gavino and her 9 year old brother were standing on the sidewalk of the intersection of North 43rd Avenue and West Thomas Road on their way home. Three vehicles were traveling north and for reasons unknown one of the vehicles left the roadway, went up onto the sidewalk and collided with Karen. All three vehicles then fled the scene. Karen was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
