On Friday, February 14, 2025, at about 7:23 a.m., the dismembered remains of a young, Native American female, later identified as Emily Pike, were found off road, near Highway 60 and milepost 277, on Forest Service Road # 355. Investigators learned Emily Pike was listed as a missing person from Mesa since January 1, 2025. Investigators are seeking any information on this incident.
