On Friday, February 9, 2024 at approximately 7:55 p.m., a fatal hit and run collision occurred in the area of 2600 East Oak Street. An unknown GMC SUV was traveling eastbound on Oak Street when it struck a female pedestrian. The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the collision. The involved vehicle was described as an older model GMC SUV. The vehicle would have damage to the front end and is missing the GMC emblem. Investigators are seeking any information regarding this incident.
